Exhibitor Description
The European Processor Initiative (EPI) is a project currently implemented under the first stage of the Framework Partnership Agreement signed by the Consortium with the European Commission (FPA: 800928), whose aim is to design and implement a roadmap for a new family of low-power European processors for extreme scale computing, high-performance Big-Data and a range of emerging applications. EPI is a part of a broader strategy to develop and independent European HPC industry based on domestic and innovative technologies as presented in the EuroHPC Joint Undertaking proposed by the European Commission. The general objective of EPI is to design a roadmap and develop the key Intellectual Property for future European low-power processors addressing extreme scale computing (exascale), high-performance, big-data and emerging verticals (e.g. automotive computing) and other fields that require highly efficient computing infrastructure.
