Joseph A. Insley is the Visualization and Data Analysis team lead at the Argonne Leadership Computing Facility, where he collaborates with facility users to explore the vast amounts of data produced by their simulation campaigns to provide scientific insight to domain experts, as well as communicate those findings to a broader audience. He researches parallel, scalable methods for data analysis and visualization on current and next-generation systems. He is also Associate Professor in the school of art and design at Northern Illinois University. He received an MS in computer science, and an MFA from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
