Roman Iakymchuk
Biography
Roman Iakymchuk is a researcher at Sorbonne University. He obtained a Dr.rer.nat. (equiv. to PhD) in computer science from the RWTH Aachen University. During his PhD, he did an internship at the National Institute of Informatics, Tokyo, Japan. Between 2012 and 2015, Roman was a post-doctoral researcher in France at the Institut Mines-Télécom—Télécom SudParis and the University Pierre and Marie Curie (now the Sorbonne University). In 2015-2019, he also worked as a researcher at KTH Royal Institute of Technology on two EC-funded FETHPC projects, namely AllScale and INTERTWinE. His research interests span the fields of programming models, high-performance computing, and numerical linear algebra.
