Biography
Michael O. Lam is an Assistant Professor in the Computer Science Department at James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, College Park, and has conducted research at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory as a visiting faculty scholar. His research interests include program analysis, high-performance computing, and systems tools. He is the author of the CRAFT floating-point analysis framework and the SHVAL shadow value instrumentation tool, and co-author of the ADAPT floating-point error analysis tool and the FloatSmith mixed-precision tuning system.
