Dr. Andreas Herten is a researcher in the NVIDIA Jülich Application Lab at Jülich Supercomputing Centre (JSC), where he analyses, ports, and optimizes scientific applications for GPUs. In the scope of the POWER Accelerator and Design Centre he also operates JURON, a POWER8-based supercomputer. Before joining JSC, he did his PhD in experimental particle physics, working on enabling real-time data suppression mechanisms on GPUs for the next generation of particle physics experiments.
