Sara Kokkila Schumacher
Biography
Sara Kokkila-Schumacher is a research staff member who works with government partners to develop machine learning workflows. After spending nearly a decade in computational chemistry, Sara believes that multidisciplinary teams are essential for producing impactful research. Sara leads the IBM collaboration with LLNL for the cancer simulation MuMMI project. Besides her technical experience, Sara is trained in diversity and inclusion mentoring. Sara holds a Ph. D. in physical chemistry from Stanford University.
