Venkatesh leads the Novel Technologies activities at ICHEC in Dublin, Ireland. This involves defining and accomplishing ICHEC's strategy with technologies that include conventional HPC, accelerator technologies, parallelisation, auto-tuning for energy-efficiency and exascale computing. Venkatesh also investigates the use of conventional HPC solutions and emerging techniques (Quantum Computing, Machine Learning and Blockchain) for application to ICHEC's industrial and research projects. Venkatesh leads the Intel Parallel Computing Center at ICHEC, the Quantum Natural Language Processing project in collaboration with Intel, and is a principle investigator, work package lead and task lead in multiple Irish and EU projects (H2020 and PRACE).
