Biography
Ms. Alexandra (Sandy) Landsberg is the Deputy Director of the DOD High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP) since 2015. Ms. Landsberg provides leadership to the HPCMP senior staff and assists the HPCMP Director with all aspects related to HPCMP planning, strategy, execution, operations, personnel, and activities. Ms. Landsberg has over 28 years of experience within the federal government in high-performance computing. Prior to joining the HPCMP, Ms. Landsberg worked in the Advanced Scientific Computing Research (ASCR) program within the Department of Energy Office of Science as a program manager for computational mathematics. Ms. Landsberg has also held various program management and technical positions within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA), the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), and the Naval Research Laboratory (NRL). She is a recognized leader in computational modeling, algorithm development, simulation of complex physics-based applications, and software development.
