Biography
Payton Linton is a junior at Youngstown State University. He is a triple major in Physics, Mathematics, and Religious studies. He plans to go to graduate school to receive a PhD in Physics. Linton has spent much time conducting research in various areas. He spent a summer working in a semiconductor lab researching the application of ZnO as a semiconductor on a sapphire substrate. Currently Linton does work in percolation theory on how various geometries, orientation and densities affect the percolation performance. Linton spent this past summer interning at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in the Computational Research Division developing code to identify and track similarities and changes within large-scale meteorological time series data.
