Alice Koniges

Biography
Alice Koniges is a computer scientist for the University of Hawaii at the Maui High Performance Computing Center where she leads efforts in emerging architectures, performance modeling and benchmarking, with an emphasis on both traditional scientific applications and newer ML/DL/AI applications. She is the Maui representative on the OpenMP standards committee and serves on the program committees for many of the important HPC conferences such as SC, ISC, IPDPS, etc. She is associate editor of the International Journal of High Performance Computing, and has published well over 100 refereed papers in both applications and parallel computing/programming languages, and has one book, Industrial Strength Parallel Computing. Her PhD is from Princeton University in Mathematical Astrophysics, and she also has an MSE in Mechanical Engineering.
