Charlene Yang is an application performance specialist at the National Energy Research Scientific Computing Center (NERSC), Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL). Her work is focused on performance characterization, performance optimization, and performance portability. She works with code teams in the NERSC Exascale Science Application Program (NESAP), helps identify the performance bottlenecks and advices on code optimization strategies. She is also an advocate of the Roofline Performance Model and has actively been involved in the development of this model.
