Biography
I am a first-year Ph.D. student in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department of the University of California, Merced. My research focuses on high-performance computing, mainly about the scientific computation.

Though taking this SC volunteer activity, I hope to gain good experience and obtain valuable knowledge. As a first-year graduate student, I have done some studies on HPC, like Tianhe-IA and Sunway TaihuLight supercomputer. Meanwhile, I have accomplished a job of applying LAMMPs, a scientific tool used for simulation of Molecular Dynamics, and wrote two papers related to this work, which published on the HPCC2016 conference and CCPE journal. The related academic foundation paves the way for the application of volunteer. Furthermore, I intend to leverage this SC opportunity to broaden my horizon about HPC filed and develop a sense of being scientific and rigorous. I hope that by attending SC’18, it will facilitate the flow of ideas and inject new vitality for my future research.
