Biography
Steven Hamilton is a staff member in the Radiation Transport Group at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He specializes in the development of algorithms for both Monte Carlo and deterministic radiation transport on high performance computing platforms as well as strategies for multiphysics coupling related to nuclear reactor modeling and simulation. He received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in Nuclear Engineering from Georgia Tech in 2006 and 2007, respectively, and his PhD in Computational Mathematics from Emory University in 2011. During his graduate studies, he was a recipient of the DOE Computational Science Graduate Fellowship. He is a developer on the Shift and Denovo radiation transport codes and is currently the PI of the ExaSMR project within ECP.
