Yong Chen is Associate Professor and Director of the Data-Intensive Scalable Computing Laboratory in the Computer Science Department of Texas Tech University and Site Director of the Cloud and Autonomic Computing center there. He received his B.E. degree in Computer Engineering in 2000 and M.S. degree in Computer Science in 2003, both from the University of Science and Technology of China, and his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from Illinois Institute of Technology in 2009. Prior to joining Texas Tech in 2011, he worked in the Future Technologies Group of the Computer Science and Mathematics Division at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He has published over 100 research papers in international journals and conferences, and has received several awards for his research activities. He has also served as editor, chair, or program committee members for numerous international journals, conferences, and workshops.
