SCinet Help Students Prepare, Build, and Staff World’s Fastest Temporary Network

Students from throughout the planet collaborate with each other and advanced HPC professionals to build SCinet, the world’s fastest network during the SC conference. Before the conference begins students help install miles of fiber optic cable at the exhibit hall, configure wireless access point throughout the convention center, and connect the event to locations worldwide and provide assistance during the event via the SCinet Help Desk. This video features students from the University of Heidelberg in Germany, Texas Tech in Lubbock and the University of California in Santa Cruz. The students speak their native languages but English subtitles are also shown.

Christine Baissac-Hayden created Easy English 4 All, which provides multilingual communication tools for clients from diverse backgrounds in the renewable energy, medical, defense, marine science, and film industries. Easy English 4 All provides English as a Second Language (ESL), French, Spanish and Japanese tutoring from certified native-speaking teachers and organizes international student exchanges with personalized objectives and goals.
