DescriptionThe advent of silicon photonic micro-electro-mechanical-system (MEMS) has made it possible to integrate large-scale switches (radix > 100) on single chips of silicon. In this talk, we will review the current state of the art of silicon photonic switches and describe in detail the performance of 240x240 switches.
