Biography
Pamela Hill currently manages the HPC Data Infrastructure Group within the Computational and Information Systems Laboratory (CISL) at the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR). Pamela leads a team focused on end-to-end high-performance storage solutions including parallel file systems, archival storage solutions and data transfer protocols. With close to 35 years of experience supporting high-performance computing in national labs, Pamela joined NCAR in 1999 as part of the team installing the first IBM Power Series system and GPFS storage solution. For the past 14 years, Pamela’s focus has been on large scale parallel I/O architectures, I/O network protocols, performance tuning and data management strategies.
