Jason Hick

Biography
Jason Hick is the Facilities, Operations, and User Support (FOUS) Program Manager for the Advanced Simulation & Computing Program (ASC) at Los Alamos National Lab (LANL). Jason has responsibility for facilitating production computing and infrastructure necessary to support three HPC facilities, around-the-clock supercomputing operations, and ASC Program users. Jason supports multiple energy efficiency efforts for HPC at LANL to include monitoring usage and supporting analytics to improve efficiency, and modeling water and electrical usage to optimize system performance. He is also leading the Energy Efficient HPC Working Group Team on Energy Efficient Procurement Considerations. Prior to his work at LANL, Jason led the Storage Systems Group at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Jason holds a BS in Computer Science from the United States Military Academy at West Point and started his career as a Captain in the US Army.
