Stuart Levy is a research programmer, geek, and systems administrator at the Advanced Visualization Lab at NCSA. He enjoys data conversion, and is the current maintainer of the group’s Virtual Director software and related tools, including partiview. He is passionate about astronomy and physics, and is fortunate that many of the AVL’s projects have involved astrophysical storytelling. May we all see astronomical images not just as pictures on the sky, but as snapshots in the lives of evolving systems. Among contributions to pieces that have appeared in another venue, the ACM SIGGRAPH Electronic Theater, his favorite credit is as “technical shepherd.” He had not previously worked on molecular visualization and is especially pleased to have contributed to the piece presented here.
