Biography
Joel Adams is Professor of Computer Science at Calvin University, where he has taught since he received his PhD in Computer Science (Distributed Systems) from the University of Pittsburgh in 1988. He is the author of several textbooks, numerous conference and journal articles, and is on the leadership team of the NSF-funded CSinParallel.org project. He has been the architect of seven Beowulf clusters, including Microwulf, the first cluster to break the $100/GFlop barrier. He is a two-time Fulbright Scholar (Mauritius 1998, Iceland 2005) and an ACM Distinguished Educator.
