DescriptionThe WAN team will present the WAN bandwidth map for SC19, highlighting the challenges associated with bringing that bandwidth into the convention center. We will discuss the 400GE WAN project to carry a 400GE circuit between the Starlight facility in Chicago and the convention center NOC. We will also discuss the open line system that is used to transport DWDM signals from multiple vendors to the convention center over a single fiber pair. [Finally, we will briefly discuss the advantages of using an optical switch for WAN circuit turn-up and testing.]
